The Norwegian Business Association India (NBAI) recently convened a board meeting on March 6, 2024, charting a course for strengthened business collaboration between Norway and India.

Norwegian Ambassador to India, HE Ms. May Elin Stener, reported a surge in Norwegian businesses in India, underscoring the momentum set to increase with the impending Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Stener highlighted the success at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, projecting a positive image of Norway. A forthcoming visit to Bangalore is on the agenda, cementing diplomatic and business ties.

Arne Jan, emphasizing the success of the Norwegian parliamentary delegation’s visit to India, stressed its pivotal role in fostering a positive outlook for business collaborations between the two nations.

Cristian from Innovation Norway outlined the accelerated pace of India’s progress, initiating various export initiatives. The announcement of the Nordic India Summit later this year in Norway further solidifies the commitment to enhanced cooperation.

To promote business, a focus was placed on creating awareness through success stories of Norwegian businesses in India. Periodic newsletters by Team Norway will highlight key milestones and upcoming collaborations.

The board underscored the importance of NBAI activities, planning them regionally or industry-specific to create more value for members.
